Heinzel Group is one of the largest producers of market pulp in Central and Eastern Europe. We produce high-quality bleached sulfate pulp and Aspen BCTMP pulp. In addition, we are the leading supplier of high-quality bleached kraft paper. Our product range also includes supercalendered uncoated natural paper (SC paper) and containerboard.
Heinzel Group comprises four production facilities: Zellstoff Pöls AG and Laakirchen Papier AG in Austria, Raubling Papier GmbH in Germany and AS Estonian Cell in Estonia. All our mills produce to the highest environmental standards.
Long-fiber pulp
Zellstoff Pöls AG is located in the heart of Austria. The mill produces 400,000 annual metric tons of elemental chlorine-free (ECF) bleached long-fiber sulfate pulp in flash and sheet format and ranks among the largest manufacturers in Central and Eastern Europe. Zellstoff Pöls AG is committed to sustainable forestry and to compliance with the FSC and PEFC standards.

Short-fiber pulp
Located in Kunda, Estonia, AS Estonian Cell annually produces 185,000 annual metric tons of Aspen BCTMP (Bleached Chemo Thermo Mechanical Pulp) including ASPEN 350/84 B, ASPEN 350/85 HT and ASPEN 450/80 HB.
ASPEN BCTMP made by Estonian Cell contains relatively little lignin and is primarily used for the production of printing and writing paper, board, hygiene products and specialty paper.

Graphic paper
The PM11 of Laakirchen Papier AG produces 350,000 metric tons of supercalendered uncoated publication paper (SC paper) for magazines, brochures, advertising material and newspaper supplements. The SC products are marketed under the “grapho” brand, which many customers, including leading publishers and printers, consider to be the best choice for web offset and gravure printing.

Kraft paper
Zellstoff Pöls AG is also the leading supplier of high-quality bleached kraft paper. Under the brand name STARKRAFT, kraft paper is produced for the food segment, paper bags, wrapping paper as well as for industrial bagging, medical and clinical applications and packaging material.

Containerboard
Laakirchen AG in Austria and Raubling Papier GmbH in Germany produce certified containerboard which saves natural resources and has low grammage. They specialize 100% in recycling and, consequently, in containerboard based on recycled paper. In this segment, Laakirchen AG and Raubling Papier GmbH provide solutions that go beyond the standard to meet the requirements of their customers in the packaging industry.
