  • The Heinzel Group continues to invest in its Austrian domestic market and in the diversification of its core business
  • The acquisition’s main objective is to expand the paper wholesale business by a new business area with growth potential in Austria and Eastern Europe

Vienna, 19 June 2015 – On 18 June 2015, Europapier CE GmbH, a subsidiary of the Heinzel Group, signed an agreement to acquire the signage business unit of the Austrian signage and paper merchant PaperNet GmbH. Existing customers will continue to be supplied and supported by their familiar contact persons after
the acquisition.
The acquisition expands the product portfolio of the Europapier Group and in addition it again improves the service quality for the Group’s customers. After the acquisition, they will be able to choose from an expanded product portfolio, which includes the areas of signage, digital, screen printing and machines for digital printing and finishing. With this step, Europapier strengthens its position as a one-stop shop for a wide range of products for printing, packaging, office and advertising solutions – particularly for the graphic arts industry.
The agreement with PaperNet is still subject to approval by antitrust authorities. In the meantime there will be no changes at Europapier or PaperNet, as both companies will continue to act independently of each other and business will continue as usual.
