Heinzel at Albertina

In line with a long tradition, at the end of March 2012, the Heinzel Holding again issued an invitation to a gathering at the Albertina Museum in Vienna in order to join management, the Supervisory Board and a select circle of guests in reviewing the past financial year and taking a look into the future.

The evening bore the motto “Future – Technology and Energy” and for the first time was prepared and presented by Sebastian und Christoph Heinzel.

For the 75 invited guests, the event commenced with a guided tour of the current “Imperialism” exhibition. Then, after cocktails, Christoph Heinzel introduced a moving film regarding the motto of the evening, which was accompanied with live Hang music from Simon Sonnfried. The remarkable scenes of natural phenomena clearly impressed the audience, while the images of the increasing over-industrialization of our planet gave much food for thought.

With the demand for sustainable action very much in mind, Alfred H. Heinzel subsequently presented the 2011 financial year and the outlook for the Heinzel Group. His address was then supplemented by Marco Mensink, the CEPI (Confederation of European Paper Industries) Director for Energy and Environment, who spoke on the topic of future human development and the effects on the paper industry.

The guests then took their places in the “Musensaal”, where the catering company Do & Co served a menu composed of regional delicacies that also corresponded with the sustainability theme. Sebastian Heinzel provided information concerning the steps both completed and planned by the Heinzel Group in the renewable energy field and in addition, he also introduced the new Supervisory Board members from AS Estonian Cell, Riia Sillave and Klaus Eibinger, as well as the new heinzelsales trainees, Mohamed Driss and Krunoslav Meic.

Christoph Heinzel then presented the awards for special projects and performance during the past year.
