Europapier completes EU-RO Handelsges.m.b.H. takeover
Vienna, 26 June 2017. Last Friday, Europapier CE GmbH, a Heinzel Group subsidiary, signed an agreement regarding the purchase of the residual 50 per cent of shares in EU-RO Handelsges.m.b.H., which to date was owned by Rondo Ganahl AG. Europapier thus increased its holding in the company to 100 per cent.
This acquisition strengthens the Europapier Group’s existing position in the Austrian market and is intended to support plans for further expansion in the direction of new markets and customer segments. Europapier is already the leading one-stop-shop for a diversity of products in the printing, packaging, office and advertising technology segments, especially with regard to the graphics industry. In particular, EU-RO covers the western Austrian market.
The agreement with Rondo Ganahl is still subject to approval by the anti-trust authorities. However, the complete share buyout by Europapier will not result in any changes with regard to the organization of EU-RO or the related responsibilities. In addition, the long-term successful cooperation with Rondo Ganahl will continue unaffected.
