Commitment to sustainability in Pöls honoured
In the course of the EcoVadis ranking, the location was awarded a gold medal.
EcoVadis evaluates over 100,000 companies in the categories of environment, labour & human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. In 2024, Heinzel Pöls took part in the EcoVadis rating for the first time - and immediately achieved a gold medal! This means that Heinzel Pöls is among the top 5% of rated companies worldwide and is recognised as an Advanced Performer.
Heinzelpaper Laakirchen was awarded the silver medal in the EcoVadis rating. This puts Laakirchen in the top 15% of the more than 100,000 companies rated by EcoVadis in terms of their sustainability performance. Compared to the previous year, the result was significantly improved, particularly in the areas of ethics and sustainable procurement. Despite the increased assessment criteria, Heinzelpaper Laakirchen significantly improved its overall result, but narrowly missed out on the gold medal.
The award for the two sites confirms our consistent commitment to sustainability - made possible by the great commitment of the sustainability team and the cooperation within the Heinzel Group. Congratulations to everyone who contributed to this success!
